Comparison HTC EVO 3D to Samsung Galaxy S3
Just started using my S3. My previous phone was the HTC EVO 3D. The HTC was a nice phone but it was a bit slow, lacked memory, and had a smaller screen(which was nice in some respects).
My S3 is much faster than the HTC. The memory is much larger. The screen is bigger but still very easy to hold in my hand. The UI is a bit different but very similar to the HTC. The S3 is much nicer than the HTC, the motion commands and voice commands are slower than working with the screen; the motion commands and voice commands add very little to the phone and seem to be a gimmick rather than an improved user experience.
The implementation of the 3G / 4G is much better! The S3 switches automatically to 4G when it's available and uses 3G if there is no 4G; the HTC had to be manually switched between 3G / 4G, no where near as nice as the S3 auto switching!
If the S3 had more than seven app panels, the S3 would be much more convenient. Also the S3 has only 4 apps on the home page; the HTC had 8 apps on the home page a better arrangement.
Over all I am very pleased with the S3, a definite improvement and upgrade over the HTC!
Update: The camera on the S3 is nowhere near as good as the HTC camera. All photos are fuzzy, blurry, the color is quite good BUT the awful focus destroys what could have been a good photo.
I am teaching myself how to use NFC tags. They are very neat! Many functions of the phone can be control by touching a tag. Very cool!!!!!
