Windows 8 Preview
It is a great deal of fun to play with the Windows 8 Preview.
The metaphor is very different BUT many of the apps that work on Windows 7, work well on Windows 8 Preview. Yahoo Widgets work quite well. No problems as of this writing. PTFB works well.
It's truly amazing how well Microsoft has kept the old apps working, unlike Apple, for many generations of the OS. If the software engineers can keep of the good work so far, Windows 8 may be very good.
It is always a good thing to have a standard language. That is one of the strengths of English, it means basically the same thing the world over; the same should be true for software. It should not be someone's idea of insanely great!!
