Interesting Discovery
It seems that a very useful utility written for Windows 95, Winsize, and released as Version 1.6 Beta, used to size and place windows on the Windows desktop works perfectly with Vista Ultimate. Evidently the plumbing underlying the showing of windows on the Windows Desktop has not changed signifcantly. Winsize has worked perfectly for many years on my XP desktop and has become essential to my production and productivity. No matter what Windows does with its windows, Winsize will place the windows at the exact spot and size determined by MY needs!! A very cool thing. Winsize also seems to do exactly the same thing with Vista. Sometimes programmers just do outstanding work.
The best news: Winsize is FREE!! Not often that something this good is truly free!!
Just a quality piece of work! As of this writing Winsize may be download from
