BlueTooth Dell XPS L502x

Just replaced my Intel 6230 with the Intel 6235 in my Dell XPS L502x. It was much harder than it should have been. The physical part was simplicity itself, just open the back cover by releasing the three screws holding it down(they will not fall out of the cover), remove the wires from the existing 6230, remove the screw holding down the 6230, the 6230 flips up, remove and install the 6235 in the slot. Screw down the 6235, reattach the two wires. Be careful not to damage the connectors, the wires will very quietly click into place.

Now the problems begin. Windows 7 does not seem to recognize the new card. After downloading and installing the drivers from the Intel website; of course Windows 7 can not find the drivers on the web but my search of Intel's site resulted in the correct file. After installing, Windows 7 can find the card, both the WiFi and the Bluetooth, BUT the Intel software can not find the card. Bummer!!!

Time to retire for the evening. At least WiFi and Bluetooth work! Intel software problem to be worked on later.
